Jorge Iván Castillo-Quan

Jorge obtained his medical degree and clinical training from the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (Yucatan Autonomous University), in México. He then completed an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience at the Institute of Neurology, University College London (UCL). He is now about to complete a PhD in Genetics, Neuroscience and Metabolism from the UCL Institute of Healthy Ageing working on the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. Jorge is studying the interaction between the biology of ageing and neurodegeneration. UCL, the Max Planck Society and the Wellcome Trust support his research.
